As we all know, the situation with COVID-19 is changing daily. While it is impossible to predict what will happen in the coming weeks and even months, the Charitable Foundation will be prepared to help when the people of New Hampshire most need us.
First and most important, the Foundation is closely tracking and following guidance from public health officials to keep our staff and community safe and to do what we can to help slow the spread of this virus.
Out of an abundance of caution, we are asking Foundation staff to move all meetings to phone or video conference whenever feasible. If you have a meeting scheduled, a staff person will be in touch to provide further detail.
We’re also planning carefully to ensure the continuity of operations — so we can continue to fund the important work of our nonprofit partners, distribute scholarships to New Hampshire students and help our donors support the nonprofit organizations doing critical work in our communities. You can always reach us at our main number 800-464-6641. Our website is available to contact our staff, apply for a grant or scholarship or manage your fund.
We’re reviewing existing grantmaking programs to see where we can provide more assistance and flexibility as nonprofits work to mitigate the impact of this pandemic.
We know that, when faced with a challenge, the people of New Hampshire will want to step up and help their neighbors. It’s who we are. We strongly encourage continued giving. The current situation will challenge us all, and our nonprofit partners will need help more than ever.
Like all organizations, we will adapt as this situation develops. We will post updates on the Foundation’s website and will communicate via email (subscribe to Foundation email announcements) and social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) with future announcements.
The Foundation has supported New Hampshire communities through many challenges since 1962. We will continue to do exactly that.
