Mallory Fredriksen of Alstead is studying to be a dental hygienist with help from a Charitable Foundation scholarship from the Rosamond Waldron Fund. She wrote to let us know how her studies are going.
To those who made the Rosamond Waldron Fund possible,
I can’t begin to thank you for your generous donations that have provided me a scholarship to pursue my dreams. I have wanted to be a dental hygienist since 7th grade and your generosity has turned this dream into a reality. I want to apologize for the late letter, but I wanted to include some pictures for you. The first is myself showing “I Got One” New Hampshire Charitable Foundation scholarship sign off to the world with my new [surgical dental] loupes for school. Again, I really can’t begin to thank you enough. This scholarship is practically putting me through hygiene school and takes a huge load off my shoulders so I can focus on being the best Registered Dental Hygeinist I can be. I promise I will not let you down.
Sincerely,
Mallory Fredriksen
The Foundation awarded $6 million in scholarships to New Hampshire students studying in all fields at two- and four-year colleges last year, and will be awarding a half-million dollars per year to students studying at New Hampshire’s community colleges for the next four years.
