Community Grants Program Application Requirements and Questions
Please create and/or update your GrantSource organizational profile with the most up-to-date information. This will include your organization’s:
- Mission statement
- Operating budget
- A list of your current board of directors
- Most recent IRS 990 filing (or New Hampshire Charitable Trust financial form if 990 is not required by the IRS due to organization size)
- An audit and/or strategic plan are not required, but please upload these documents to the appropriate sections of the GrantSource organizational profile if you have them available
- GrantSource eligibility checklist responses are required and are to be certified by the Executive Director/CEO, Board Chair, or Board Treasurer (Other staff certifications will not be accepted)
When you begin your Community Grants program application in GrantSource, you will be asked to complete the following:
- Mission statement: Your organization’s mission statement will auto-populate from your organizational profile
- Organization impact: What has been your organization’s impact on its community or constituents in recent (under 5) years?
- Type of support:
a. Unrestricted operating support: How will the grant help build organizational capacity to advance your goals and strategies?
b. Project-based support: Please describe your project including a narrative description, intended outcomes, community partners that might be involved, and other information that might be helpful - Additional information (optional): Is there anything else you would like to share?
- Financials/Budget
a. Number of years of support requested: Dropdown menu selections (1 year or 2 years)
b. Request amount per year: Response box to request up to $15,000 per year
c. Upload budget: For project request – upload a project budget in any form (or use sample template); for unrestricted request – upload most recent budget-to-actual final fiscal year report
