Frequently asked questions
The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is the largest provider of publicly available scholarship dollars in New Hampshire, awarding more than $8 million each year.
The Foundation is committed to funding students with the greatest financial need. The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation manages more than 450 scholarship funds. Students need to only fill out a single online application using ScholarshipSource, to be considered for all the Foundation’s scholarship resources. Your application will help Foundation staff determine which funds you are eligible for. All types of students are encouraged to apply, including:
- Students in certificate, apprenticeship, licensing, and other non-degree programs
- Independent students
- Graduate students
- Bachelor’s degree candidates
- Associate degree candidates
Dependent bachelor’s degree candidates (students claimed on their parents’ taxes and are ‘not independent’) and all graduate students must apply by the mid-April deadline every year. All other students can apply throughout the year until the year-end cutoff in mid-December. Specific deadlines are listed on our ‘Apply for a Scholarship‘ page.
Foundation Student Aid staff are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at fghqragqbpf@aups.bet and at (603) 225-6641 x 2.
