The mission of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is to improve the quality of life in New Hampshire and some adjoining communities in Vermont and Maine.
Community Impact Grants and Express Grants are designed to fulfill our mission by making grants to organizations who are working across a wide variety of areas including:
Apply for a Grant The Foundation will accept grant applications four times during the year:
Express Grants (requests of $5,000 or less) Monday, March 2, 2009 and Tuesday, September 1, 2009
Community Impact Grants (requests over $5,000) Wednesday, April 1, 2009 and Thursday, October 1, 2009
Recession Fast Track: Beginning immediately, statewide organizations seeking Community Impact Grants to address basic needs such as food and shelter may apply early, on a rolling basis, up until the April 1st deadline.
The Foundation will select a limited number for fast-track funding. Those not selected will be routed to the regular cycle for review. This applies only to statewide organizations serving multiple regions of the state or having statewide reach of programs and services. |

Submit your Application Our preferred method of receiving applications is via email (see instructions below for Express and Community Impact Grants). If you are unable to email your application, please be sure that the application arrives at one of the Foundation offices by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the deadline.

In addition to our general grantmaking, the Foundation manages a number of special purpose grant funds focused on specific fields of interest or geographic areas. Piscataqua Region Artist Advancement Grant for seacoast visual artists and craftspeople.
The Walker Fund for NH public schools.
Wellborn Ecology Fund for experiential ecological education programs in the Upper Valley.
